2 bad mistakes and got badly scammed

Sometimes even the experienced investors make terrible mistakes, and in the HYIP world the mistakes mean only one thing - you will be scammed. So we should try to learn from our mistakes. Last week 2 bad scams used 2 investor's mistakes to gain money - SunflowerSeed and Global Financial Trust. Even we supported GFT - something that i personally should apologize - the emotions were too strong and I did not notice the ugly scammer's smile behind all of that.

What wrong did the investors? Let us see in details:

1. Believe the "returners".
This is the case with global-financial-trust.com. They were down for about 10 days. But the scammer "Tom" decided to go back and collect some more money. They came back explaining for server problems and we were all so happy to see them back and paying! Everyone was speaking arround for GFT, even we wrote an article about their return. 2 weeks later the program stopped paying. They made their deal - came back and used the euforia to collect more money.
What should we learn? This is a good scammers tricks and we should be aware about it. One should not obbey the euforia and invest as soon as a program returns. The program is back and paying? Thats great, but be calm. Wait a month - if this return is to scam, they will be gone. Otherwise you can go and invest more.

2. Believe in pictures
This is what happened with SunflowerSeed. The admin, "Karsten" posted his pic and everyone was charmed how honest the admin was. The investors made the mistake to believe that the picture make the investment more secure. In the real business world a picture of the owner adds credibility. This should not be the case in HYIP world however. Here a picture is a sign of scam. What does it add? It won't help you to catch the scammer even if it was real. The picture is there to make you believe it is real. To make you spend more and be more trustful. Never ever believe in the pictures on the HYIP sites! Some of you remember the case with Patrick Johnson's program - the nerdy pic made so many people feel comfortable with this scam!
You should consider the admin's picture on a high yield investment program site as a scam warning and NOT as a good sign.
